The Formula Six utilises a riveted sheet steel chassis forming a monopunt with a solid rear axle driven by either a single or double reduction sprocket set coupled to a centrifugal clutch mounted to the output shaft of a Briggs & Stratton engine ranging from 3-5hp. Early vehicles utilised a double reduction sprocket set with later vehicles adopting a single reduction set. Steering is similar to a traditional kart with a basic wheel and column connected to rose-jointed steering arms and sub axles.

The vehicle features a seat with two mounting positions as well as a pedal box with further adjustment to allow a child or adult to drive. The pedal box can also be removed with an adult taking control of the accelerator and brakes with the child left to focus on the steering. Dependent on gearing and engine choice top speed ranges from 18-60mph.
